Hope’s piercing career started in 2001 in Fairbanks Alaska. In the state of Alaska, the requirements to become a licensed body piercer are extremely regulated. You have to complete 1,000 hour apprenticeship, while learning all about blood-borne pathogens, cross contamination training, sterilization training, learning about skin diseases and disorders, about the muscles and nerves in the face. She had to learn about aftercare and exactly how the body heals, and about jewelry, metals, types of metals, types of threading; internally threaded versus externally threaded. It wasn’t an easy road, but Hope is thankful for every bit of that apprenticeship. Hope started at Crazy Ink in 2014, where her knowledge and skill has helped her create a name for herself in the piercing industry in Yakima. Her goal is to provide quality piercings in a safe and welcoming environment, always educating her clients and ensuring they receive the best piercing possible.
